Students richly engage in our dynamic term projects in small groups with the direction of Hayhurst Connect Teachers. Students are working on two engaging projects on a weekly basis.
In classroom 1 they will spend time learning all about creative kid-friendly escape room puzzles. Soon after, they will work together in teams to build their own escape rooms and math puzzles to test the skills of other Connect groups.
In classroom 2 students will work together to publish a Connect Magazine full of intriguing articles, math puzzles, photography and more. Stay tuned to see this completed project on our website!
TUESDAY ENRICHMENT CLASSES 2017
Connect Theater: Students will be dancing, singing and acting in the wonderful performance Dr. Seuss Musical Revue featuring the Dr. Seuss story Horton Hears a Who. This performance instills the messages that anything is possible, to think positive, a person is a person no matter what, and we are not invisible. Check with the Program Coordinator for final performance dates.
Nature Exploration: The learning is brought out of the classroom to the great outdoors. Students will be going on nature walks, participating in nature-related games, art with nature, garden planting and plant cultivation and so much more.
